Wearing different types of shoes can subject your feet to a lot of abuse. They can get dry quickly, causing them to crack or get sunspots. How do you keep them presentable? Let’s explore what you can do.
Sunscreen
This is The most overlooked way to keep your feet healthy. We apply sunscreen all over our bodies and somehow forget our feet. People usually keep their feet covered for anywhere from six to nine months out of the year, and then when the weather gets better, we expose our feet to the sunlight a lot more by wearing sandals. Pick a sunscreen with SPF 30+. Remember to reapply, especially if exposed to water. If you see anything unusual, make sure to consult your doctor.
Socks & Moisture
Who wouldn’t love nicer, softer feet? With all the miles we put on them, it can be challenging to keep them soft and moisturized. There is a simple way to solve this issue overnight. Take some lotion, preferably non-scented like Eucerin or baby oil, and cover your feet with it. Then cover your feet with socks and go to sleep. When you wake up, your feet will be much softer. Do this once a week or every other week, and you will always have soft feet. If you have a foot condition or sensitive feet, please consult your doctor for a moisturizer that you can use.
Cleaning
Get a pedicure. Yeah, I said it, get a pedicure. It amazes me that a significant amount of men are among the most masculine on the planet yet feel a pedicure for women only. Let me help you, enough men across the globe get them, so it’s all right. Pedicures benefit your feet in many ways. They clip your toenails and clean them up, so they look nice, preventing nail fungus and infections. They exfoliate your feet and can remove calluses that form on the bottom of your feet and heels with a pumice stone. They also massage your feet, helping improve circulation. I would get one at least once every two months and maintain them yourself in between.
