One of the most universal yet iconic jackets any time of the year, especially in the spring is the bomber jacket. Most are made of high-quality nylon or polyester, yet some are constructed with silk or satin. They can range in price from $50 USD to $1,000 or more for designer pieces. Harrington
The Harrington is one of the most misunderstood and unknown jackets hidden in plain sight. To simplify, the harrington jacket is a casual jacket with a collar, zips down in the front, and has some functionality. They are so popular because they tend to be easy to take on and off perform nicely when it is windy or there is light rain, and look great with t-shirts, jeans and hoodies to layer. Thank Steve McQueen for making this jacekt popular, along with James Dean. The best part of this jacket is that it looks ordinary handing in your closet or the store. Yet, when you put it on, the Harrington accommodates a wide range of body types and has so many varieties that it can be paired with almost any one. Take some time and find a Harrington jacket that expresses your personal style.

Denim | Jean Jacket
If there is an iconic piece that can rival the bomber jacket, it is the denim jacket. First made by Levi Strauss in the late 1800s, the denim, also known as the jean jacket, is a staple of American fashion and style. It is excellent for spring and fall seasons and is made out of the same, if not similar fabric as your jeans. Icons John Lennon, Marilyn Monroe, and Bruce Springsteen have been photographed wearing various styles to perfection. In contemporary times, Alexander McQueen is the master in expanding the look and appeal of this jacket. Yes, primarily for women, yet Alexander McQueen does inspire other designers to maintain their “a-game”. The mark is set mainly by Japanese designers because some of the best, if not the best, denim currently comes from Japan.

Track Jacket
Almost always associated with a tracksuit, the track jacket is the hidden gem of spring fashion. Originally the track jacket was designed for athletes as a nice jacket to put on and take off when competing, or as we know, to wear over their uniform before warm-ups, think basketball. Track jackets keep you warm, are great for layering, and are easy to take care of. They have many style benefits as they are beneficial to your figure and are great for a sporty or vintage look. This forgotten style piece is the casual, sporty cousin of the Harrington jacket and needs a place in your closet.

Raincoat
Depending on where you live, spring and most of the summer is the rainy season. Having a nice raincoat handy that is not extremely warm, lightweight, and keep you dry is essential. Today, impressive materials help make this possible. Gortex, and highly blended nylon keeps you dry, and the jacket is light. Style is harder to find with raincoats, as most are one color and lack patterns, yet don’t let that stop you from searching for a raincoat that will be perfect in the war spring and summer rain.
